Looking to get a birds eye view of Alaska? Then join us on an exciting Alaska flightseeing tour. We’ll soar over rugged mountain tops, pass towering glaciers all while keeping a lookout for wildlife. We offer two stunning 60 min flight options depending on the days weather conditions.
Knik and Colony Glacier:
We will head east to see the Knik and Colony Glaciers; witness glacier ice floating in Lake George as we wind our way up the Knik River Valley which cuts through the Chugach Mountain Range. Be on the look out for Mtn Goats, Dall Sheep, Moose and black bear who call the area home. The flight will take you over braided rivers, stunning glaciers and deep into snow-capped mountains, a visual bounty for the eyes.
If you want to add a little more adventure to your trip we can include a landing near one of the glaciers or on a braided river bed. You will get an opportunity to see why these airplanes are so popular in Alaska and also get to see the flora and fauna up close. We will spend approximately 20 minutes on the ground exploring the area and taking pictures.
Talkeetna Mountain/Hatcher Pass:
Our other 60 minute flight option takes you North into the Talkeetna Mountains and Hatcher Pass. These rugged peaks will amaze you any time of year. Get a birds eye view of the third largest lode gold producing area in Alaska. We will fly over the Snowbird, Bomber, Mint and Penny Royal Glaciers. We will soar over the remnants of the TB-29 Superfortress (B-29 Bomber) that crashed in Hatcher Pass in 1957, giving the Bomber glacier its name. We will fly by Arkose peak and take in the splendor of Eska Falls. These mountains will take your breath away and if we are lucky we will be able to see Denali, Foraker and Hunter on the horizon.
We will fly you in our Piper PA-18 Super Cub…the quintessential Alaskan airplane. These little workhorses feature giant tundra wheels and a simple light design that allows access to some of the most difficult to reach places in the state.
